[Feeling that Tamil hymns and lyrics, generally, do not have the depth that English hymns have, GB has, for the EBA church hymnal, identified some good hymns, translated many hymns and choruses from English, and composed some lyrics. He has recorded the accompaniment for all the songs in the hymnal, and these are available in MP3 format. All recordings have been done at home using very simple equipment. These songs may not be copied without permission.]

The world is an alien place for believers and as such they face troubles, turmoil, and at times tribulations too. Spiritual progress is always an up-hill task for believers. Although believers can at times feel troubled in spirit, they need to avoid reaching that stage of extremity. As believers, they have the privilege of taking shelter in the Lord’s loving concern and care. All equal before God

Each of us is born in this world under circumstances that are different from those of the next person. Some of us are born into good families, some in very unfortunate families, some in affluent families, and some in families that are extremely poor. Some families had a good educational background while others were more backward. Some of us hail from families with a Christian background, and some of us hail from religious backgrounds that are alien to Christianity.

Because such is the case, do we consider that some are in advantageous positions and some in very disadvantageous positions? We may imagine so. But strangely the conditions to be in heaven are in no way connected to the categorization that we have just mentioned.
