Satan constantly attempts to prevent believers from reaching the heavenly kingdom offered by Lord Jesus Christ. The magnitude of his venomous mischief in this matter is unimaginable. That is why the word of God has warned believers time again about this danger. The enemy’s various attributes described in scripture such as “murderer” (Jn 8: 44), “liar” (Jn 8: 44), “enemy” (Mt 13: 25, 39), “devourer” and “adversary of the believer” (1 Pet 5: 8), an “accuser” (Rev 12: 1o), and many more are sufficient evidence to understand how venomous he is.

These are the last days. Most of the churches we see carry on without a semblance of godliness. This is an indication and a warning to every one of us that the satanic spirits are actively engaged in swallowing up churches. In Peter’s epistle we read of Satan personified as a hungry lion who walks about seeking whom it may devour. In these days, Satan seems to be swallowing entire churches instead of individuals.

A compendium for the guidance of those who have the anointing for the preaching of the Gospel of Lord Jesus
Post-baptism teaching
As far as this church is concerned, the word “Baptism” should convey the following meanings.
- The ritual in which the person is immersed in water in the name of Lord Jesus.
- The theological or doctrinal meaning of the word
- The word when used as a code for the entire doctrinal teaching concerning salvation or until the “born-again” stage (recently we had several sessions on this subject that totalled 12 hours of teaching)
By ‘post-baptism’ teaching, I refer to teaching that the believer requires after he is born again.

Heaven transcends the earthly dimensions of time and space. I have already introduced a term called ‘mysticism’ to indicate spiritual concepts which cannot be measured or evaluated in human terms. The concept of heaven can be classified under this term.
Concepts that are both mystic and in the Bible are not man made. Apostle Paul explains them in this way: “which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words”, 1 Cor 2: 13 (NASB). Heaven is, in that sense a term that can be listed under the classification “mysticism”. We, in this church are familiar with the term “spiritual” which is more or less synonymous with the term “mysticism”.

This is the second and concluding part of this study. In the first part we saw the following:
- The meaning of the word ‘Hallowed’ (Hagiazo, Hagiamos)
- God alone is holy by nature
- God’s people fail Him time and again, profaning His name
In this part, let us look at some more thoughts related to the prayer, “Hallowed be Thy name.”
Heaven is for Sanctified People
God is teaching His chosen people, to prepare them to be heavenly citizens, and this is going to happen sooner or later according to His will. Most of us who are progressing in the spiritual life have learned that God is applying His filter in various stages to salvage the genuine from the worthless. Still His aim is not to condemn but to teach and prepare a holy people. Not all submit themselves to God’s will. Instead they attempt to make God adjust to their attitudes. As they progress on their spiritual pilgrimage, they find that God’s teachings narrow down and become sharper and more concentrated. That is the implication of the narrow way (gate).
Sanctification is a spiritual stage of purification. Without sanctification, no one can hope to please God.

The title of this write-up is taken from the adoration aspect of the of Lord’s Prayer. The word for ‘Hallowed’ in Greek is ‘hagiazo’, which in common use means ‘to make clean’. However, in the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ it is used in a very special sense with reference to His holiness. Of all God’s innumerable attributes, let us now endeavor to understand this attribute—His holiness, in order to glorify His name better.
The Greek word ‘hagiazo’ (verb) and its noun form ‘hagiamos’ both express the holiness of God very specially. It can be taken to mean, ‘You only Lord, can possess that attribute, that extraordinary and special holiness, and none else; therefore, we say, “hallowed be Thy name.”’
